Get to know me
Married with a family and two gorgeous grandchildren.
Most of my working life was spent working in the NHS. Being a local girl, born in Holt, Norfolk, I know I am lucky to be doing a job that I love.
Whilst working on Simpson Ward at High Kelling, Holt, I decided I wanted to work in Audiology, starting as a volunteer with "The Norfolk Deaf Association" in 2002. This gave me a head start into obtaining a position in Audiology outpatients at Norfolk Norwich University Hospital and Cromer Hospital.
In 2008, I left to join the NCH&C Community Nursing Team. Following further training at Rotherham Ear Care Centre, I was able to continue to provide ear wax removal for our housebound patients. Retiring in 2019 and following Covid lockdown, I decided to work again and set up my own business "Earsbyrosie".
Attending further training at Tympahealth in Cambridge allowed me to also undertake Microsuction.
Being a bilateral hearing aid wearer, I understand the challenges facing people with hearing aids and deafness, and the impact wax can cause. Wax is a natural body product; it is a protector. As we get older, the wax can become drier, causing pain, fullness, and problems with our balance system. So when it starts impacting your health and hearing aids, it's time to have it removed.
